Porsche Taycan Waiting List
The launch of Porsche’s first 100% electric car, the 2020 Porsche Taycan, is getting closer, and although there are still many doubts surrounding this risky project, we can already get an idea of what the Porsche Taycan price will be. Everything seemed to indicate that the new Taycan was going to become the most expensive model for sale in the Porsche range for its technology and performance, however Porsche has confirmed that the Taycan will be located between the Porsche Cayenne and Porsche Panamera, which it is a statement of intent to stand up to the Tesla Model s .
If we take into account that the Porsche Panamera has a starting price in here of 101,504 euros in its most basic version (see offers of the Porsche Panamera ), this means that the Porsche Taycan could move around the 90,000 euros in its version more affordable. In the same way, we must bear in mind that the cheapest Porsche Cayenne starts at 87,579 euros (see offers of the Porsche Cayenne ), so it seems logical to think of the fork from 90,000 to 100,000 euros as the positioning of the new Taycan.
But one point that we must take into account is that we are talking about the more austere Porsche Taycan that will be for sale, as the Porsche itself has already revealed intentions to produce much more capable versions that could easily double the starting price , something that already happens with the Panamera in its sportier versions Turbo S E-Hybrid (see test Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid of 680 HP ). At the moment we only know that the Taycan will have 600 hp of maximum power and an NEDC auomotomy of 500 km, but we do not know how the Taycan range will be articulated and if those figures correspond to the base model or against its more presentational version.
2020 Porsche Taycan Vs Tesla Model S
To understand the strategy of Porsche Taycan we only look at what will be his main rival, the Tesla Model S. In here the Tesla Model S cheaper has a price 89,980 euros (see offers of the Tesla Model S ), interestingly an amount that according to Porsche could be the price to pay for the Porsche Taycan more affordable. The cheapest Model S corresponds to the 75D version (see test Tesla Model S 75D ), however, its range can significantly increase its price if you look at the 100D versions from 113,180 euros or P100D from 150,880 euros.
